Royal Crescent Suede Blouson

I knew if there was one style in this launch collection, it was going to be the blouson. There’s something timeless about its proportions — cropped, confident, & quietly rebellious. Its story begins in the cockpits of the 1930s & ’40s, when pilots needed jackets that could move with them & keep the cold out at altitude. After the war, that same silhouette found new life across Europe — in France & Italy, it evolved into the blouson: sleek, balanced, & effortlessly stylish.

For ours, I wanted to honor that history while creating something unmistakably Arc & Iveagh. We chose French-sourced, British-tanned goat suede — soft but substantial, refined yet rugged. The ribbed cotton cuffs & hem keep its classic shape, while slanted flap pockets close with hidden magnets instead of the usual fiddly buttons. A custom Arc & Iveagh zipper pull in light gold gives just enough contrast, subtle but deliberate.

The result is a jacket that feels familiar yet elevated — slim, waist-length, & equally at home over denim or flannel. We named it for Bath, England’s Georgian Royal Crescent, a nod to balance & enduring form. Like its namesake, it’s a study in proportion & permanence — rebellious in spirit, refined in execution, & built to last.
